When creating an Action, you can decide whether the Action content is worth saving as an Action template and using it in the future. With templates, you can add new content based on previously prepared content quickly and easily.
It is worth using templates in cases when we plan to use the prepared content in another Action, but with slightly modified content (for example, we have prepared an e-mail informing about the joining of a new employee to the team, which we want to send to the Manager and then to Buddy with slightly modified content).
How to save the template?
When publishing a new Action (learn more about the "Publish" function), check the "Save as Template" option and then provide a friendly name for the template.
After saving the Action, the template will appear in the "My templates" tab:
From now on you can use the saved template when creating new Actions on Workflow. Drag the template onto Workflow and edit the Action with the prepared content.
How to update the template?
Need to update your template? No problem! To update a previously saved template, go to the Action from which that template was created and then modify the content and check the "Update Template" checkbox (when publishing the Action).
Voilà! The template has been updated.
