How to manage Processes involving people from different countries?

The Gamfi application provides support for time zones and foreign telephone numbers. Thanks to this, all Actions scheduled in Workflow are released according to the time of day in the respective User's country and SMS messages can also be sent abroad

In this article you will learn:

  • how the Gamfi Application handles time zones
  • how the Gamfi Application handles foreign phone numbers.

Time zone support

Time zone support is provided both at the level of the entire Application, Workflow and the User account itself. This means that we are able to execute Processes worldwide while maintaining the User's time zone.

💡 Example:

There are 2 Actions set up in Workflow, released on the same day at 9:00 (one for the employee, the other for the manager). The employee is Polish, while the manager is from the US. When the Process is triggered, the employee from Poland will receive the Action at 9:00 of his time, while the manager will receive the Action.... also at 9:00 a.m., but at his own time (i.e. at 3:00 p.m. Polish time).

The time zone can be set at the level of the entire application in the settings in the panel. This value is ‘inherited’ on the Workflow (when it is created/edited), but can of course be modified separately in each Workflow. On the other hand, the value from Workflow is inherited by user accounts that do not have the value assigned in their profile.

💡 Example:

If a Workflow has the time zone Europe/Warsaw, all Users who do not have a zone assigned will have the Process automatically run based on this time zone.

The time zone can also be modified when starting the Process. In addition, when adding a User in the Employees tab, you can also assign a specific time zone to that User, just like in the API.

Support for foreign telephone numbers in the application

SMS actions can be sent to most countries in the world (full list here: http://smsapi.pl/api/next/supported-networks). The telephone number entered in the user account must be preceded by the relevant area code.

✅ Please note: The Gamfi app not only allows you to send SMS abroad, but also verifies that the phone number entered is correct!
