What is Role?

The primary Role in the Gamfi is always the Employee - the user to whom you run the Process. However, you have the option to engage other Roles. It can be for example Manager, Buddy, HRBP, IT Support, Onboarding Coordinator, etc.

You can use the configured Roles when building Workflows when you designate the recipients of an Action (e.g. tasks or messages). This means that you can assign an Action to a specific Role.

Can a Role select users for other Roles?

You can grant each Role the additional permission to assign users to other Roles.

You can do this when configuring a new Role using the "Can assign employees to roles in the Process" option.

This allows the created Role to designate:

  • users for all other roles participating in a given Process in its Portal - if you don't designate specific Roles;
  • or users for a specific Role, e.g., a Manager can only designate a person for the Buddy Role, but not for other Roles.
