What is Workflow Category?
When configuring a new Workflow, you must indicate the category that will determine its operating mechanics and accompanying content.
You can choose from the following options:
- Talent & Onboarding
- Learning & Development
- Microlearning
- Offboarding
Choosing the right category affects the content that appears in the Panel and the User Portal. Each Action placed in the Workflow is executed according to the pre-set execution time and date (learn more 👉🏻 here).
Depending on the selected Workflow category, the date against which the Actions are set will change:
- Talent & Onboarding - the first day of work
- Learning & Development - a key date (e.g., the day the position started or the actual start of the Learning Process)
- Microlearning - start off learning course;
- Offboarding - the last day at work
You can additionally tag categories with labels that appear next to the Workflow tab in the list of all paths:
➡️ Talent & Onboarding CATEGORY:
Workflow created with pre-boarding, onboarding, role changes, on-the-job implementations and effective employee reboarding in mind.

➡️ Learning & Development CATEGORY:
Workflow created with employee development in mind, improving their competences and expanding their knowledge.

☝🏻 Did you notice the "Add to Promoted" tag in the image above? The "Learning & Development" workflow category allows you to build a training course or even an entire training process in Gamfi People Platform —just like the one you're currently participating in. You can read more about this in the "Creating a New Workflow" task.
➡️ Microlearning CATEGORY:
Workflows designed for short, sequential learning activities and quick messages. Actions are launched immediately upon startup.

➡️ Offboarding CATEGORY:
Workflow created with smooth offboarding, safe handover of responsibilities, and efficient termination of collaboration in mind.

You can change the category at any time in the Workflow settings.
